Minnesota Trans Health and Wellness Conference

We here at Smitten Kitten are so happy the Minnesota Trans Health and Wellness Conference exists and wanted to post a blog, just in case you weren’t already in the know.  Check it out and consider volunteering! Don’t miss the biggest state-wide trans community event of the year!

No giant slides, butter carvings, or seed art, but now with twice as many workshops (44!), more surgeons from around the country offering workshops and free consults, electrolysis and voice workshops and consults, free chair massage, health screenings, resource fair, and the next best thing to food on a stick…free lunch!

And don’t forget to join us for the FREE and fabulous Cross the “T” Cabaret on Friday evening, featuring music, dance, hip hop, puppets, drag, a performance by keynote speaker Yosenio Lewis, and more. Everyone is welcome to attend!

Description: This month we will be reading The Ethical Slut by Dossie Easton and Janet Hardy. If you have already read this one, feel free to look at other texts on the subject of non-monogamy, like Tristan Taormino’s Opening Up. Come prepared to discuss the successes and failures of the book in terms of communicating about the subject as well as some good talk about the subject in general.

Join us for Smitten Kitten’s Book Club! Each month we plan to read a different type of erotica or sex-related literature. At our monthly meetings we’ll discuss what we’ve read, ask questions, analyze and deconstruct erotic genres… and enjoy snacks, coffee and tea while we think, laugh and chat about sexy, smart writing.
