What is your favorite movie of all time?

Of all time?! The pressure…I really love the movie Chocolate. Chocolate, wonderful clothes, beautiful music and Johnny Depp. It pairs quite nicely with raw coconut ice cream and heating packs once a month.

What was the last song you listened to?

Honestly, “A Month From Now” by Prof (off of Recession Music). Before that “Pleasant” by Kanser, cause it’s great.  Before that, track #10 on Toki Wright’s A Different Mirror.

What do you consider to be your top three sex toys at the moment?

Smartballs! Black Meany! The black Meany is awesome. Texture is a great addition to your toy collection if you don’t have experience with any. Both Smartballs and the Meany are by Fun Factory. I figure Tantus’ Goddess is awesome or any of the Lelo toys  would come in 3rd place. It’s a toss-up between those for my next purchase.

If you didn’t sell sex toys, what would you do for a living?

Being a nutrition and cooking instructor, helping people with their diets.  Teaching social justice and grassroots organizing to high school students.

What are your thoughts on Minneapolis?

We have great rap music, great art, an awesome DJ (or four), welcoming open-mics, raw restaurants, heart-breaking ex-boyfriends, strong, giving women, and the most beautiful summers. F snow.

Method-Dwight Depp-LaBeouf Howardman. Yea, that’s one name with multiple people - needed a loophole. If he comes for me I’ll straight leave this place and not look back.

Why do you like working at Smitten Kitten?

I am SO proud to be working for such an ethical business.  It feels great providing important knowledge, like toxic toys or lube with glycerin, to people that don’t know about it. This is such an important store. I feel like we are helping make our community stronger and healthier.

What does everyone who has sex need to know?

Love your vagina/penis, seriously.  Slow down on the bumpin’ pretties. Beware of the scary STI’s you can catch; not to mention the emotions of connecting to another person. I am a promoter of knowing and trusting your partner - take your time, baby.

You don’t have to have sex with someone right away to learn about sex. Focus on yourself first off. Learn what your body needs, watch videos. We have great instructional videos (and offer classes) in the store. Stop on by.

What are you doing to change the world?

Although being heart-broken and family drama I continue to see the best in people and give genuine love to everyone. I also introspect on the daily. I’m also a social justice trainer for high school students.
